Song of Storms

This rendition of Song of Storms from Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time by Jon Batiste and Josh Harmon started out as a little teaser on social media. I think they gave into pressure and released a full version. It’s delightful.

Jon has a history of video game covers. On his first album, Hollywood Africans, he did a cover of Green Hill Zone from Sonic the Hedgehog for Sega Genesis. It’s a different vibe from the game in a beautiful and surprising way.
