I am absolutely delighted with the parallax starfield effect on the homepage of the Sonnenborgh Observatory. I even made my own. Just the kind of subtle scroll effect I can get behind. It only works on desktop though.

The IJ digraph is a unique feature of the Dutch language. As a digraph, it behaves as a single character, including being capitalized as a unit, so words like IJsselmeer or IJmuiden (both names of places in the Netherlands) are spelled with two leading capitals.

Tess and I made this tomato soup with farro this week. It was a first for us, and (I think) a hit all around, kiddo included. I used half the farro the recipe called for because I read a couple comments that the stated amount was too much. They were wrong; use the full amount. :-)
