I was on my own this week. Tess was in Geneva, and EJ was on spring break.

I made quesadillas and chana masala for myself.
I started a new sourdough starter.
I planted some plants in our backyard garden.
I watched Kagemusha and Apollo 13.
And I finished Light from Uncommon Stars by Ryka Aoki.

In an act of cruel timing, on the same day, the US Supreme Court released an opinion striking down state bans on conversion therapy of minors. The ruling was 8-1, with Justice Jackson being the lone dissenter. Appalling.


Anthropic issued C&D’s to remove more than 8,000 copies of Claude Code’s source code from the Internet. Gosh, it must be terrible to have all of your work slurped up and spit back online with no regard to how it might affect your existence and livelihood.
